Considering Preserving Your Hair?

CPR™ — Cut • Preserve • Reattach

  • Cut

Before chemotherapy begins, we carefully cut and preserve your natural hair to create post-chemo extensions.

  • Preserve

Your hair is thoughtfully preserved by our in-house hair specialist - either stored securely for future reattachment or crafted into a custom wig tailored just for you.

  • Reattach

Once you have at least one inch of regrowth, we reinstall your preserved hair using techniques tailored to your hair health and recovery.

Custom Wig – Preserve Your Hair, Preserve Yourself

Before chemotherapy begins, we transform your own hair into a fully customized wig, helping you maintain comfort, confidence, and a sense of normalcy throughout treatment. Wearing your own hair can provide powerful emotional reassurance during an uncertain time.

Each wig is meticulously handcrafted and completed in approximately 14 days. For non-local clients, we provide a secure hair collection kit with a prepaid shipping label, making the process seamless and discreet.

  • Your own hair crafted into a custom wig in ~14 days
  • Personalized guidance from consultation to completion
  • Secure shipping options for non-local clients
  • Flexible financing through Afterpay and Affirm

What to Expect When Starting Treatment

- Hair loss typically does not occur all at once. Most people experience progressive shedding over time.

- The scalp may begin to feel sensitive, tender, or tight (similar to the feeling of wearing a tight ponytail) as the hair follicles prepare to shed.

- Shedding commonly begins around 2 weeks after the first treatment or shortly after the second treatment session, depending on the individual and treatment plan.

Cold Capping: What You Should Know

Cold capping can be an option for some women during chemotherapy. However, based on our experience supporting clients through treatment, many still experience significant shedding and may retain only a small percentage of their hair.

Because results vary, additional support — such as head coverings, toppers, or post-chemotherapy extensions — is often needed to restore fullness and confidence throughout the process. For those looking to stay closely connected to their own hair journey, our Cut, Preserve, Re-Attach (CPR™) program offers a thoughtful path forward. Hair can be cut and preserved before treatment, then later transformed into custom extensions or even a fully personalized wig, allowing you to return to your own hair in a deeply meaningful, natural way.
